Five and Two and a Halloween Boo!

It has been quite a week in our household. In a matter of eight days, we have managed to take a day trip, trick-or-treat twice and celebrate 2 birthdays...

10/25/08: Day trip to Monterey. We have gotten our money's worth with our annual membership to the aquarium. Best of all is having dinner at one of our favorite joints!

10/26/08: Ethan as Obi Wan Kanobi.

Melanie as Princess Leia.

Our church's annual trunk-or-treat. Yoda is so handsome!

10/31/08: Going out to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood with a Star Wars theme. Ethan solicited candy for himself and his sister with 2 pumpkin pails and explained to each homeowner that he was doing so because, "My sister Melanie and my cousin JJ are in the wagon and they can't get out so that's why we have to get their candy for them and me too. And see, Melanie is Princess Leia and Jayden is Yoda and Uncle Jay is Darth Vader, SEE?!?!" Darth Vader had the pleasure of pulling the wagon, with Auntie Kiki and I supervising from a few paces behind.

11/2/08: The kids making their birthday wishes with a few loved ones who joined us for lunch. We had such a blast! Oh yeah, the themes were Dora and Star Wars.

11/3/08: Ethan celebrating his birthday with his classmates. The Star Wars theme continues...

11/4/08: Melanie eating a slice of her ice cream cake on her actual birthday.

So, as you can see, we've had much too much to celebrate this past week. We are barely recovering from all of the festivities. I am still trying to accept the fact that the kids are 5 and 2. Wait a minute, we are the parents of a 5 y/o and 2 y/o. Omg, where's my inhaler...
